This is some songs extracted from the compilation Manhattan Research, Inc. by Electronic musician and composer from the 50 s and 60 s Raymond Scott (Basta) (2000)
What a pioneer! His inclusion of product advertisement of that age are eerie and interesting and paired with his beats are a wonderful statement of his disdain for the changing time. That's just my interpretation, I only speak for myself. Thanks for posting !!
Thanks for putting these up! It's great to have access to this. A lot of the names I come across in my Early Electronic research are difficult to get audio. I have heard Scott on OHM, but this adds to my "reference library." Thanks again!
...the "county fair" bread -humor...reminds you of the crude "...chop and screwed..." methods of today's beat-makers...---...namely, madlib; dilla; or just blaze...
