These are the gears I use in my walking machine. more infos on : http://www.armure.ch/WALKING.htm The input gear runs at a constant speed while the output gears give variable speed.
the music is : Concerto for Harpsichord N° 5 in G minor BMW. 1056 composed by Johann Sebastian Bach / this version is from the Japanese TV drama Kui-Tan 2 OST.

Voici les roues dentées que j'utilise dans mon quadrupède mécanique. La roue d'entrée tourne à vitesse constante, tandis que les roues de sorties restituent une vitesse variable.

@milzed71 I didn't use a special software. I created the 16 different images and then put them in a gif animator programm and exported it in avi, then I made a loop with the video editor, faded the colors, added music and exported it in vmw before I uploaded it here.

Do you mind if I copy the design for use with LEGO components?
I'm thinking incorporating as set of these gears into NXT or Power Functions models could make a 'steerable' walker.

I'll be happy to get a set of lego-compatible gears to make more experiments (and I think I'm not the only one).
