Yeah Lucas is pretty cool. The original swingblade which the Lucas originated from is even better - in my opinion. It's the Peterson range, they're on here too. I know a guy who runs one cutting up native timber for a living and he makes some beautiful furniture.

This is the coolest video! My brother milled the fir trees in his backyard for siding and my dad milled a cedar tree that washed up at Long Beach for a deck. All I have are skinny pine trees at my house! Thanks for sharing!

Several years later: this wood has gone to great use. ~5% was lost to mold as there were lessons to be learned about drying the wood. The rest has been put to use in various home projects including a hearth for the fireplace and a doll crib for my daughter. Nice to have so much wood on hand to lend toward the day's woodworking muse.

Great video!
Is that green wood? Are you going to dry it somehow?
Thanks!

The wood was stacked with spacers in a garage. It is pretty dry now... All in all a success.
Now I get to decide what to do with it...
