Very nice videos! This one was very helpful and I know alot more about solarcells now!

@solarcabin i was curious if could use a capacitor such as a 20 farad capacitor that you would use for car audio systems?

@solarcabin -- Now I understand why their wind turbines are cheaper -- they don't have as many features. They have a 1600-watt wind turbine for $600. I suppose a person could just manually turn off the wind turbine when the batteries are nearly charged. For those on the grid, they could divert power with an inverter to the grid. I was looking online and I see Chinese-made 1,200-watt grid-tie inverters for $250, and the inverters can be stacked for more wattage. All you have to do is plug it in.
dont you have to be rich to own one of these things or an off grid home?

Well if I am rich I would hate to be a poor person! The cabin cost $2000 to build the power system was $3000.

I found that Missouri Wind and Solar has an 800 watt wind turbine and an all in one charge controller that can also be used with solar panels, has a 3-phase brake switch for the wind turbine, a load diverting capability when batteries are fully charged, and the total price is $779.
I noticed that Northern Arizona Wind and Sun is cheaper for solar panels, though.

That's a good price. Read customer reviews and see what kind of warranty they give.

@solarcabin -- Missouri Wind and Solar offers a one-year warranty. That seems pretty good. I am not sure the reviews on a company's own website. The controller they offer can handle up to 440 amps and 5,000 watts at 12 volts. But it has a basic load diverting system that can only handle 600 watts. If you get more power generation, you have to get more load diverting capacity. Does your system have load diverting? Where does the excess power go?

The Air X does not require a diverter and the power controller is built in. It shuts down when the batteries are full so it won't overcharge the batts.
