Hello,
Today I will be showing you the Asus G53SW-XA1. This notebook is a 15.6" Gaming Laptop made by Asus and features the Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M which is a high-end mobile PC graphics card. This GPU combined with the 2630QM by Intel and the 8GB of 1333MHz Ram = a very capable gaming and editing machine! The notebook feels very well built when handling and in use. A very cool feature of this notebook is the awesome cooling it has. It features two very large intake/out-take ports on the back. But.. with all these good things.
Their is something I do not like about this laptop. It comes with a lot of bloat-ware! Not a huge complaint, but, it is something you will need to take care of. Also, the battery is horrible on this machine. MAX I get is 2 1/2 hours... if even that. And then there is the chance of getting a faulty Sandy Bridge processor. Which, unfortunately. I got :/
If you can deal with the cons of this laptop which are very minimal, then this laptop is absolutely amazing for the price! You can pick it up at Amazon.com for $1300 flat. No tax or shipping (with AmazonPrime).
Awesome deal!

  • dude u dont need the cooling pad...

  • @vs3894tube Oh trust me, I do. My temps were spiking as high as 80 degrees celsius. That's right near the the chips thermal ceiling temp. Also, it was being used in a environment where the ambient temperature was well over 90 degrees fahrenheit . The cooling in that laptop is good, but not that good.

  • you mean you think the one with the i7-740qm will be better ?

  • @BullBeatz96 Why would a last-gen processor be faster than a current gen Sandy Bridge..?

  • @chargerfun34

i heard and saw some comments like "Stupid sandy bridge" or "sandy bridge sucks" ,"my SB got alot of problems and i returned to the store" ,,, so thats got me worried .

  • @BullBeatz96 Oh.. Well that was with the first batch of Sandy Bridge processors that Intel made, mine had that problem. But, now with the SX and later SW series they no longer while have those bad batches of Sandy Bridge chips. It's not a problem anymore.

  • @sebs30v Hey, troll. It's an "Unboxing". In a unboxing you show what comes in the damn box. That's the whole point of an unboxing, to unbox what's in the packaging...

  • Hey Chargerfun34 please read this!!! So I just ordered the same model for 999$ and while looking at the reviews on Amazon I saw that the computer encounters lots of problems. Do you reccomend I do anything to the computer once i get it? Lastly, I will be getting a cooling pad and i'm guessing the comp. can handle Starcraft 2 on ultra graphics?

  • you bought this for 1300? i have G74Sx for 1350+tax, either you got rob or you just couldnt wait

  • how is the battery life if you fully charge it and put the brightness at the minimum when it is unplugged?
