  • okay some tell me this.... is it me or are those very slow bay doors...our are not that slow

  • If you look back through the older comments on this video, we already explained that the doors *were* slow, but the company that installed them has since replaced all of the motors, belts and pulleys and made them a lot faster now. Thanks for the comment, though!

  • I love the fire siren! How many calls a year does this fire dept. respond to?

  • The Mount Union Fire Company and Ambulance Service responds to 1,000 - 1,200 calls per year, and is getting busier each year. The bulk of the calls are EMS, however, we handle over 200 Fire Calls each year.

  • Why does an ambulance respond to a chimney fire?..

  • It's best to have two separate systems in case one fails. If the pagers fail, the siren is still there to call out the firefighters. If the siren fails, the pagers can call out the firefighters.

  • Cool, my fire company hasnt used a fire siren for over 20 years, we just use the siren for tornado warnings here in kansas.

  • fedelcode 20 siren very rare!!!!

  • why not...if ya got it send it

  • No, it's definitely a Fedelcode. I live about a half hour from Mount Union, and I took a drive the one day to go see it. It resembles two Model 5/7s stacked on top of each other. I heard it activate while I was at a gas station a few miles away, and for some reason, I remember it being slightly higher pitched, like it had 8 ports, but I may be mistaken.

All I know is that it is definitely part of the Federal Signal family tree.

  • It is a Fedelcode siren. I found a hi-res picture of it on the siren archive.

  • or it could be a thunderbolt 1000 low tone

  • I don't think it is. It looks too much like one of the rare dual-chopper Fedelcodes, especially from the picture on the Siren Archive.

  • that house siren would get annoyin after a while
