Paul Dini is just an absolute genius at writing villains. Not only did he make Hush a really interesting and somewhat creepy (he reminds me a lot of Norman Bates) villain but years ago he made Mr Freeze from a lame villain into one of the best in Batmans rogues. The same goes for Poison Ivy after Dini got his hands on her, and I'd argue that he writes the best Joker in modern comics
I agree with both things the person below me said. Can't wait to pick up the softcover tpb in 2010. Damn you DC for releasing hardcovers. Best Hush story written. Now everything makes sense from Loeb to Lieberman to Dini. I know Hush made a few side appearances here and there but these three writers wrote most of Hush's stories.
I love that beginning intro music...many thnx and much appreciation for the reviews...i find it hard to find time to go out and try to actually buy and check out these books * while attempting to order them online has proven fruitful and regretfull at the same time* anyhow I hope your able to continue on with your review and I wish you the best.
I couldn't agree with you more. This issue is indeed a milestone in the Selina/Bruce relationship. I'm glad Dini was there to pen this romance that feels honest and not cheesy. Also, Dini has taken Hush from Loeb and completely evolve him into a serious threat for Batman. Excellent! He now ranks with Ra and The Joker as one of Batman's most deadly foes.
TEC#850 had everything...Action, Drama, Suspense, Tragedy, and Romance all wrap in a neat package. :)
Nice review
