  • what about z axis????

  • @naveedshr

A z-axis can easily be added. Please view our video #11 for an example of a similar system with a z-axis.

  • @naveedshr A z-axis can easily be integrated into this system if desired. Please take a look at our other videos which have a vertical z-axis.

  • holy crap that is impressive.. whats the cost of a setup like this. I see that it is fast but how much force can it apply before "skipping steps" ?

  • @jdsanchez473

The cost for a system like this depends on stroke (travel) and what electronics are used to run them. As for the force, these motors can generate 6lbs of force continuously before skipping steps.

  • how much? i'm in the market .. newport is too expensive. i want to make a closed-loop tracking system for insects.

  • @threelegduck

This system is not closed loop, but it can easily be modified to run closed loop. The cost would depends on stroke (travel) and what electronics are used to run them. But it would be several thousands.

  • how much does the setup featured in this particular video cost? I think everyone here would prefer the answer is in dollars, not more questions... Assuming the buyer is going to provide their own electronics/software etc unless you bundle that together as an option...

  • @KeithWasHere1

The system is using linear stepper motors.

  • what kind of motors is it using?

  • @Mikagon an ardruino would help with this alot
