Tchaikovsky: Song of the Lark, Op. 39 No. 22

This piece comes from a set of 24 Tchaikovsky wrote in 1878 for young pianists. I have uploaded this as part of a short series of videos of a few of the many pieces on the 2009-10 piano exam syallabuses (Grades 5-8) of three major international examining bodies based in the UK. This is an alternative piece in Group A of the Trinity Guildhall Grade 5 syllabus. I actually think it is a hard piece to bring off at that level, and it needs considerable rubato and careful phrasing for it to make sense to a listener. That said, it is most attractive and would make a good encore for pianists of all ages.

@Breezababe93 I can't remember what the tempo indication is. I'm pretty sure my tempo is roughly the same as I have heard others play.
