How stupid does american media and net spammers like yourself look now that its proved beyond a doubt that there never were any particular faults with Toyota cars. All those idiots complaining of accelerating cars were all just trying to cash in or blaming the car for accidents. Google "mass hysteria", "windshield pitting", "mystery gas" - I feel this is a similar phenomenon. "Sudden acceleration" is so hyped in the news that people are believing it's happening to them, and then it does.

As for buying American - Australia makes better cars than the U.S., ironic since both Aussie manufacturers are owned by U.S. companies (Google "Pontiac GTO").

Cars inevitably crash or break down. Thats what cars do. They arent forever. Toyotas however run 2-3 times longer than any american trash before they do break down. Now that this smear campain has become so popular in USA. This desperate quest to discriminate Toyota as a quality brand in a desperate attempt to claw back some desperately needed market shares for american brands..
