Easy guide to fix most pong systems that have a fuzzy or scrambled picture. Please take note that touching the wrong spot on your console with a big metal screwdriver could short out and destroy it. VERY IMPORTANT**** There is electricity flowing through this unit!!!!!! Touching the wrong spot could lead to electric shock and console damage. Most of these consoles only have 9 Volts flowing threw them but even that will give you a jolt!.. Also note that someone stripped off all the RF shielding (foil) from this console before i purchased it. Your console should have most of the circuitry covered with shielding. • Yes, the circuits are very similar but,I would test it on a different tv first. Sounds like you got a great deal on it. Can't go wrong with PONG....!

  • I tried the tuner / contact cleaner and it did the trick. My Pong is working 100% now.

    Thank you,

    Guy

  • @starblazers1969 Glad to here its working great!

  • Thank you, I fixed my Magnavox odyssey 3000. I have a clear screen, but my paddles are very jittery. Do you suggest new pots for jittery controllers?

  • @starblazers1969 More than likely your controls are dirty and need to be cleaned with some tuner / contact cleaner. This will almost instantly fix your problem. Follow the instruction on the can. Try not to over spray onto any circuitry and make sure controls are dry before powering up. Radio shack still sales it... item #64-4315..

  • Hi, I have a Coleco Telstar Classic (the big box with the wood grain)? I have very little money into it, 'found an AC Adapter for a buck and the RF to Coax converter was two bucks. Any way, the unit works, I played Pong (er, Tennis!) on it last night but the video is very very fuzzy. The hardest to read are the numbers for the scoring. Other than garbled video, everything on this thing works. Would this fix of yours also apply to my game?? Thanks.

  • How to get telstar arcade!!!I look everyware for it on ebay,in strores...But i cant find it!!!

  • Thanks for the video. I like classic consoles and I never had a chance to see it working. It would be nice if you make videos with other games in action. Very nice.

  • @CorporalColeco

Thank you, I will try it.
