A rich blend of early music from Spain and Latin America that was first presented in concert by Ensemble Caprice, now an Analekta album. The album is available in "better-than-CD" FLAC quality on Analekta.com
Enjoy and be careful: the salsa goes straight to your head.

  • I know the second piece was by Juan de Araujo... Was the Chacona his as well?

  • @erucolindo87

The Chacona is actually an anonymous piece, the only piece in the album that is by Araujo is « Los coflades de la estleya »

  • What a GREAT group and wonderful performance!!! Who wants to listen to long winded Mahler or Nazi Wagner when there's music like this? Happy, lively, tuneful and to the point! That's Baroque for me.
