Diesel Days 2009 - Trolley operations

For the past 11 years, the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum in partnership with the New York Museum of Transportation has run a special summer event called Diesel Days. The event highlights the diesel locomotive collection of the R&GVRRM.
Diesel rides were only one half of the story as the trolleys of the NYMT brought people to a point halfway down the museums' demonstration railroad where they transferred to the diesels. This video highlights some of the operation of the NYMT's ex-Philadelphia & Western 'Strafford' car #161 as it shuttles from the 'Midway' station to and from the NYMT. Visible too is the R&GVRRM's ex-Rochester, Lockport & Buffalo Railway trolley waiting room which has been restored and moved into place along the museums' demonstration railroad to again act as trolley waiting room.

I love the woodlands your track passes through. Whenever you look at track through a zoom lens, it shows up every little imperfection in the alignment, as it does in this video. It almost looks like a production liner/tamper was run over half the line, and the other half (closest to the camera) went without. Anyway, I have to get to Rochester and visit this place, it looks great!

How meny miles of track do you guy's have?

@foxrivermotorman We have a little under two miles of mainline about 1 mile of which is currently under wire with plans to keep extending the wire the entire length of the railroad.
