SINDY - Saturday Night

Sindy (alias: Sin-D) doing a cover version of Whigfield's Saturday Night, which was released in 1996 !!! Didn't do that well in the UK Singles Chart !!! It only reached number 70 !!!! The single was produced by Stock and Aitken, of the famous Stock, Aitken and Waterman group. Doesn't sound very different from Whigfield's version in my opinion !!!!! This was taken from The Chart Show of 14th September 1996, which was repeated on The Vault channel !!!!

Of all the songs this NOBODY chose to cover, she went for Whigfields, which had been released only 2 years previous? As if the original wasn't bad enough?

An amazing lack of originality and talent all round I think. Never heard of this person before, or since I hasten to add (probably for the best)!

It's essentially the same except with a different singer...it even has the same 'quack' sound in the background if you listen carefully!

Though it sounds slightly more upbeat that Whigfield's version, to me!

And judging from the last few seconds of this video, it seems that when they re-ran this show for the third (I think) time, they edited out the Battle Of The Bands and Chart Show Competitions completely. Wonder if they put that much effort into re-editing the graphic cock-ups.

@CSTV228 Correct they did edit out the Battle of the Bands on this episode, but interestingly in some 1996 episodes, they didn't bother editing out !!! Although they didn't add the telephone numbers for obvious reasons !!!
