My name is David Naggar. In the next few minutes, I hope to raise doubts in your mind about the wisdom of the two state solution. There is room enough in the Middle East to create a better future for Palestinians and room enough to establish a larger, more sustainable Israel.

  • Thank you for viewing. The history, maps and data presented are not in dispute by scholars. Of course, the inference I draw from the primary source material — that a two-state solution with in the confines of Israel and the territories is a terrible idea — is open to debate. For those who have interest, below you will see a few hostile comments that accuse me without substantiation of distorting history and being a racist. I wonder if Helen Thomas will come to my defense?

  • You didn't raise any doubts. It is pretty clear you are DISTORTING HISTORY to fit your racist views.

  • @AZIMUTS52

    See my comment above.

  • What a waste of 9 mins. This guy is a moron that tries to rewrite history. He tries to compare the moral right of an indigenous population (Palestinians) to that of a person who has absolutely no connection to a land (israelis) except for what they THINK their book tells them. Granted there were jews who called themself Palestinians cuz they lived in Palestine you moron. Just like Jews call themself Americans cuz they live in America. Your low soft voice is just a cover for your racists views.

  • mawad 1of9,

Calling me a moron and dismissing unassailable maps, archeological evidence, and historical primary source information is unhelpful to an intelligent discussion. The Jewish connection to this land is recognized by everyone but the ignorant. I agree with you that local Arabs also have a connection to the land, though for most, hardly indigenous. Read my book.

Rather than calling me names, consider looking at primary sources.

There is room enough for everyone in the Middle East.

  • Dumb idea because it ignores the intense hatred and history between Palestinians and Israelis and between Hamas and Fatah.

Why not make the West Bank part of Jordan and Gaza part of Egypt. By your logic that would make as much sense and there is both a cultural and religious affinity.

Palestinians don't want a secular democratic US style country. Stop being a Western imperialist and imposing your bourgeoisie colonialist attitudes on others.

  • EclecticCircus2,

The hatred of many Arabs and Muslims in the ME towards Israel and Jews is quite clear. This hatred is not reciprocated. The WB to Jordan makes little long-term sense for many reasons. See my book. PalAbs do have a cultural and religious affinity to their neighbors. PalAbs only exist as an identity because Israel exists. Most PalAbs want liberty like everyone else. Arabs already control over 99% of ME land. There is room enough for everyone.

    Your name-calling is unhelpful.

  • MrMonomalo,

I welcome your comments. Your statistics are accurate. But your assertion that most of the descendants of the ancient Israelites are PalArabs, and that Jews have no ancestral claim, is not supported by historical texts. Your argument is spurious on this ground and several others. One cannot simply ignore the creation of vast homelands for Arabs--Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria. Nor can one ignore displaced Jews from Arab majority countries. There is room enough for everyone in the ME.

  • I apologize if I offended you. The Partition of Palestine granted a minority of 30% of the population to an ownership of over 50% of the land where they previously owned 7%. Jews throughout the world do not have an ancestral claim to the land as in my view most of the descendants of the ancient Israelites are the Palestinians in refugee camps across the middle east, In Gaza and the west bank. We differ in opinion but we both want peace. That is where I agree with you 100%.
