IRAN (is not the problem) is a feature length film responding to the failure of the American mass media to provide the public with relevant and accurate information about the standoff between the US and Iran, as happened before with the lead up to the invasion of Iraq.




We have heard that Iran is a nuclear menace in defiance of the international community, bent on "wiping Israel off the map", supporting terrorism, and unwilling to negotiate. This documentary disputes these claims as they are presented to us and puts them in the context of present and historical US imperialism and hypocrisy with respect to Iran.




It looks at the struggle for democracy inside Iran, the consequences of the current escalation and the potential US and/or Israeli attack, and suggests some alternatives to consider.




This 79 minute documentary features Antonia Juhasz (The Bu$h Agenda), Larry Everest (Oil, Power, and Empire), and other activists and Iranian-Americans. The DVD also contains a 20 minute preview version ideal for meetings. The goal of this movie is to promote dialog and change the debate on Iran, so please consider organizing a screening, big or small, in your area.

@germanicus24 Many people got filthy rich as a result of the war on Iraq. Ordinary taxpaying U.S. citizens were not among them. Terrorism has gone up 600% percent after the invasion of Iraq. Prior to that you were more likely to be killed by a policed officer. U.S. media refuses to present to the views of the people in the nations we invade. The majority of them don't want the u.s. involved and do not support the U.S. installed puppets that allow us to take over their economies.

This documentary contains two of the most common mental traps: 1) That the wars are all about oil (they aren't, they are wars against Religion - how much money has the US earned from Iraq? Nothing, it has only gone bankrupt); 2) That Iran should adopt a "moderate" government (that is, to please our secular Western interests for easier dominion of that nation).

@germanicus24 And what about the Iraqi Oil Law? They failed they're plan for other reasons. No, oil is not the only reason but is one, the other is economy (=commerce). What happened when Nasser kicks UK and France out of Suez? They make war against Egypt. What would happen if Iran close Hormuz? The same.

Usa and western countries control Iran till 1979 when they nationalize the oil companies. 1953 coup in Iran was a CIA job.

You are a little misguided when you say that the wars are not about oil. They ARE about oil. Think back to the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company of the 1930s. It has always been about dominance of the Central Asia natural resources. Remember that the U.S. had a covert operation in Iran to overthrow a democratic government because the elected President had nationalized the oil and took PROFITS from the Anglo Iranian Oil Company.
