Apache came to us as a little baby that had been scalped. It was touch and go for a long time before he was out of the woods with that horrific wound, but he made it!! He's a remarkable little guy who has really come into his own. Yes, he is TINY just like Curly Tail Jill because they are from the lower keys. The each weigh approximately 4 pounds and may reach 5 when they fill out. These raccoons are not protected by the Endangered Species Act because there is no current research being done on them. They are in grave danger of becoming extinct.
