The terrorists who flew the planes into the trade center buildings were documented and legally residing in the U.S.. The man who bombed the federal building in Oklahoma was a white U.S. citizen.
Immigrants who come to America for economic opportunity probably don't want to blow it up.
It's easier to blame Mexicans. Just like we blamed the indigenous tribes, Catholics, Irish, Chinese, Italians, Jews, Muslims, and pretty much any person that was restricted by the Immigration Act of 1924.
