When we tested this brand new A6, we were amazed at just how many expensive optional extras it came with. There were so many extra bits of kit in fact that the cost of the car had almost doubled. In this video, Graham tries out some of the A6's priciest options to find out which ones are worth shelling out for, and which are simply gimmicks. • @pdooling1 Half the cars you mentioned aren't in the same class or even the same price range as the A6. Also, this may surprise you, but not everyone drives to go fast.

  • You'd have to be clinically insane to spend £67 grand on a boring A6! Instead you could buy an RS5, A8, M3, 550, 740, C63 amg, the list goes on

  • @recocer This car is for grandparents .......

  • "My" aviator blue metallic Audi A6 SE 3.0 TDI saloon with the 18” x 8J ‘5-spoke V’ design alloy wheels and titanium-grey Milano leather with Fine grain ash, natural brown (extended) inlays ended-up costing £54,700. And that price doesn't include the active cruise control, air suspension, ventilated seats with massage function and LED headlights. I could live without these options, because they don't add much to the car's resale value.

  • 'Drive it quick like a hire car' LOL! Been there done that.

  • @pdooling1 EVO X too. the fastest and cheapest of them all.

  • @hunker8 and if you really think about it for a second, the systems themselves are so complex yet SO un necessary that you should expect most buyers will opt to leave them out of the end-purchase... I , for instance, would only add the ridiculously expensive premium audio system to the base car and that would suit me just fine. And if I was on a budget, I could even leave the bang and olufson out of the picture... You can buy an A6 for about 48 thousand pounds if you don't buy in to their B.S...

  • @hunker8 yeah but for what it's worth you can buy the car for about 60k all in, tax included, if you don't slap all the optional extras on... And the extras are exactly what they sound like, EXTRA.. The base price of the car itself is what you should consider when comparing a vehicle to a competitor vehicle,. Only standard equipment really counts in my asessment of the vehicles worth. To be honest, navigation and a self parking mechanism + sensors and audio etc will double the base cost

  • @GodlessMartyr666 go Audi.co.uk and make your own A6, i tryed A6 Avant V6 TDI quattro and ended with 80'000 GBP, so its when it's full with extras and i'm sure thats not the end, can get around £90'000

  • That shirt....LOL

  • @redmond12400 yee :) and you always had a pink hair....
