It came on in June 1984. The original 4 had the top broken off as it was part of the Golden Gate Bridge and would be used in the legal ID's until September 1989. (Though KRON's 4 logo as you see here in the legal ID was brand new, they would still use the 1984 GGB Legal ID for another year) Klein & would compose this and TWAFI4 when that debuted in February 1989.

I think I read that the original design of the 4 logo (with the number 4 in part of the Golden Gate Bridge) came out in 1984.

Pat most recently did the Big Spin from 1999-2009 before it became Make Me a Millionaire. I think Pat's stint on KRON and later KPNX would give him his gig on TJW '90.

This is really great footage here. I love the commercials you post, but stuff like this has great historical value.
The Soviet shuttle Buran only flew one unmanned mission before the project was scrapped, so thats pretty cool you got a newsclip mentioning it.
