I felt his sharp fangs touch my skin, I slightly started to squint while my eyes were still shut. I felt a sharp pain in my heart as if it was stabbed with knives. It hurt too much. Another sharp pain hit all around my neck, I shook my head sideways trying to shake it off but it won't go away. I let out a scream as I felt blood trickle down my neck. I struggled to escape this torture. I could feel my head spinning and my eyes slowly opened a bit and then shut again. A stinging pain roamed all around my body, and that was it. I couldn't take it anymore. My eyes opened wide and with as much strength I had, I forced my body away from the wall and the chains broke off. I was on top of Jacob feeling completely furious.
"Look at what you've done to me!" I snarled as blood was still trickling from my neck. Jacob's eyes were a glowing red.
"Demi..." He quickly stood up and ran towards the door. I was in front of him in a blink of an eye. I pushed him across the room as he hit his head against the wall. After running towards him, I punched him with my claws.
"Demi, stop, please!" He cried. I flinched a bit, but then I heard someone shout.
"Demetria, Stop it." Veronika's stern voice called. I slowly started catching a breath and turned around. I felt my fangs and claws disappear again. I looked back at Jacob who was covered in blood. What happened to me, I thought. I didn't mean to hurt him...
Veronika looked at my shocked expression, "You've gone through the change faster than anyone else had.." She glanced at Jacob on the floor, "I know you didn't mean to attack him".
I knelt down next to Jacob, "Are you okay? I'm so s-sorry.." I helped him to his feet.
He had a fearful face. "I'm okay," He looked at Veronika, "May I please leave?"
Veronika nodded, "Get cleaned"
I just made myself look harmful and freaky. Jacob was definitely never gonna be the same person I talked to earlier. At least to me. I looked down ashamed of what I had just done.
The priestess walked over to me, "Welcome to our world, Demetria" She smiled.
I gave her a weak smile, "Thanks".
She looked at me, "You should get your-self cleaned up too. I'll take you to your room.."
I followed her to an end of a hallway where she stopped and unlocked the door to a big luxurious looking room. Wow, this council is rich. Was this how every vampire's room looked like?
"This used to be Lena's bedroom before her death" she motioned to the room.
"Wow, I'm honored" I smiled wide.
She softly laughed, "Good Night, Demetria." Then she shut the door and left the room.
I sighed as I lied down the queen-sized bed. I wanted to feel and experience the difference of being a vamp. So I stood up and waited for my instincts to make me think of something. Oh, let me try bringing my fangs out on purpose, I decided. I walked up to a mirror, and forced my fangs out. Damn, they were sharp! Next my eye color changed to a glowing turquoise. Wasn't it supposed to be red? Whatever, at least they changed. This feels cool, and I have to admit, I do kinda feel powerful. This feeling in me is so energetic. I looked at my face one more time; my skin was much paler, although there was some kind of invisible but sparkly light slightly glowing. I know, confusing, right? I wondered what people in school would think of me? 'The Pale Girl' is what I predicted my new name would be. But right now, I was completely tired. So I had a quick bath and then went to bed.
