'Making World Peace' is an ongoing community art performance project by Penelope Thompson that first began in Korea in 2004. in this performance world peace is symbolized by a colorful knitted scarf that ultimately needs to be long enough to reach around the entire world. This performance was part of the Chuncheon International Mime Festival held in Korea on May 30/31, 2009.
