  • @britlo

ML training in the RM is on par with that on UKSF.

  • I see a Dutch marine, doing the push ups!

  • @DavidUKesb Thankyou for the answer. I know that there are exchange programs between the UK and US. I know of US Marines attending the Commando Course also. But I was wondering if Americans attend the ML course. It is a great course and it would be a great experience.

  • @khalsasikh I'm not sure. There was an Aussie and two Dutchies on this course so they do accept non-British troops. Typically the US military use these blokes to train their own forces in mountain and arctic warfare rather than send their own blokes over to do the course.

  • @britlo if you look up the fitness requirements of Australian and New Zealand SF they dont even match the fitness of RM or RN divers or Para's, it's all to do with the international tier system for SF.

  • Do Americans ever attend this course? Is there any kind of exchange program where American soldiers or Marines go through this course?

  • In the 29th minute when they are climbing the 80ft rockface, i can see a caribina, but i cant make ropes out. Is this a free climb?!

  • Bizzare that the SASR soldier asked to be RTU'd and was in poor physical state for the course. Wonder how his Regt viewed that on his return
