  • A very well made machine. Did you use a nozzle from a commercial machine to make your "barrel"? Is there any insulation between it and the plate holding it or does that get hot too? Thanks.

  • @Plasticmad1 The nozzle is a standard injection molding machine nozzle from PPE.

The nozzle is not insulated. It is threaded onto the steel plate which is in contact with the aluminum machine housing. The aluminum housing helps dissipate the heat from injection unit.

  • Ehy,

Where do you get the raw plastic pellets,

can you tell us your supplier...

    Tks

  • I use natural PP and powder pigments.

I had the PP pellets on hand, I bought the pigments from Industrial arts supply.

    Thx

  • Could you please tell me where I can buy a plastic modling machine about this size? What you did there is just blow my mind. Really really appreciate if you can help. Thanks

  • Do a web search for tabletop molding machine or hobby molder. There is an Industrial Arts supply company, can't remember their web site, that sells machines similar to the one that I made.

    Thanks

  • WOW I learned so much from that

  • nice work... more vids please!

  • how big stuff can you make with this? say its 1 piece at a time

  • Golf tees have already been invented and are in abundant supply. So I take it you are going to invent something else and make it at home?

  • Found the AB website and it looks good. We can make molds from bronze, yes?

  • That is too fucking awesome. How much was the cost to make this machine?

  • Thanks very much for the reply. Will be contacting some suppliers this side of the pond to see what I can find. Might be easier than getting one made to spec. Once again thanks.
