What if you are able to ground the car? What would happen then?

@Lakota305,I understand that, just making a comment about the junk they want big money for today. And by the way you can't teach me anything about EMP effects,I have ten years experiance as a conventional and nuclear weapons instructor and inspector for F/A-18 hornets courtesy of the united states navy. I know more about emp effects than you ever will, have a nice day!

@dolphinhead2112 This wasn't really about the design of the car. You might be getting the wrong idea of this video.

There was a reason why the Russians kept the old SS-9 (RSM-36) missile in service quite a long time--its 20 MT warhead, 14.3 times the yield of the warhead used in the Dominic Starfish Prime test in 1962, would create an incredibly strong EMP that would wipe out all the electronics and electrical grid for many thousands of square miles of ground below when the warhead was detonated about 250 miles off the ground.

That's a great test car,a real piece of junk right off the showroom floor. They are all junk, designed to fail and designed to be hard to fix! A turd with gold leaf wrapper is still a turd! Wake up america!

@answer Very simple, when u see everyone else having the same problem, it was an EMP.

I'm wondering if there is anything that one would notice on their car if an emp attack happened while driving that would differentiate it from just a dead battery, alternator or a bad starter? So that it would be understood that indeed it was an emp attack and not your run of the mill car breakdown. Also everyone presents the idea of the attack coming from abroad, an enemy country, but take into consideration that the powers want to kill the internet. An emp would send us back to the dark ages.

c2c in the house. I think we just bumped the view up dramatically. :)
-
@dgil71 Yeah I was under the impression it fried anything electrical.
-
So the battery still works. They mentioned something about the starter. Would the car start if one had an extra starter? I would imagine the computer chip(s) would be fried too on newer cars. Can anyone advise???
Be intersting to drive a classic car through that emp thing or even a diesel engine car :)
