VICTORIA - The grassroots movement to stop the Harmonized Sales Tax is gaining momentum. Volunteers for the Fight HST campaign are setting up shop in local businesses, and knocking on doors.
They have until July 5th to collect signatures from 10% of registered voters in the province's 85 electoral districts.
Campaign leader and former Premier Bill Vander Zalm will be hosting three rallies on the island later this week.
Despite the petition's popularity, the Government insists they will still go ahead with the tax.
