Based on an ancient Greek Myth about Helios the sun god and his son Phaeton.

I chose this story because the naive manner in which the Greeks attempted to explain different races amused me. That's partly what mythology was invented for - to explain the unexplained. For the record, if there was an African myth about how a god spilled a bottle of bleach on Europe, I would definitely have chosen to animate that.

  • Great animation thank you. I don't see anyone angrily pointing out that the sun is a star and doesn't travel by horse drawn chariot. (Are you really a French Llama?)

  • @epiers Hey, thanks for your comment! I appreciate it. I am in fact not a French llama, despite my moniker.

  • The african music sounds so nice. Where can I hear the full one?

  • It's off the Civilisation IV computer game soundtrack, 'Baba Yetu' by Christopher Tin. I found the sound files inside the game folders. If you go to the composer's website you can buy the track I think

  • very cool film. great imagination and don't let the jerks take a film like that and make some sort of ratial debate over it. It's stupid how people have nothing better to do. I enjoyed it

  • Hey, thanks for the comment - I really appreciate it. And yeah I'm not too concerned - people love to hate. It's digital human nature.

  • @elyKGames it's just a myth.

  • kmttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • Stupid people.

  • fuck u

  • So.. the theory here is that white people were burned by this flaming chariot.. and turned to black people.. from the burns...?

Go back to school you idiot, We all originated from blacks, and Africa.

  • Although the story is off the chart, it's a myth! Myth are not real or true, they are possibilities, tales, stories, of what we THINK happened! Please remember that people, before making crazy comments. Myths are in ideologies, in that they appear "natural", "commonsensical" but when you trace their roots, you find that they make no sense, what so ever, or only started to support the dominate culture (white, male, upper class).

  • I think whites came from black not blacks from whites.
