Roger Waters perfoming Fletcher Memorial Home at Rock In Rio 2006.
You can hear, that he is not really singing here, it's a prerecorded backing track.
Unfortunately, the mixer messed it up, so the prerecorded vocals were mixed higher than the live vocals.
This can be heard more clearly in Have A Cigar - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cX5-z9PslZQ

Roger Waters use prerecorded vocals in several songs live, but to be fair, he is an old man and it must be hard on your voice to be on tour

  • Final Cut is the most underrated album of all time.

  • Roger is God... Let me know how your voice is doing during your world tour, when you're almost 70.

  • I don't know about everyone else, but this is terribly depressing... You can tell how badly he wants to be able to sing again, and he just can't. It's like witnessing one of your heroes suffer through a real life version of one of those dreams you have when you can't yell for help.

  • @ynotlaz Fuck yeah! I don't expect to be alive at 70, and I reckon the likes of Gaga and Rhijana(no idea if I spelt that right) will be long forgotten before they are. But Roger proves that, if u actually have a reason for writing something, an' a MESSAGE, then it holds water, even when the messenger himself has grown a little too old to be considered 'cool'. It goes beyond that. It ain't about 'cool', it's about what's right and wrong. Something popstars will never even understand.

  • @turtlliwdnifuoyehthr vocals are pre recorded : )

  • the right channel is pre recorded vocals or the whispering?

i hear two vocal tracks.one singing and another whispering

  • if anyone has earned the right to use pre-recorded vocals its roger waters

  • @TeleManMeSelf But i wish it was :P

  • @TeleManMeSelf I know man. The guy in the video of course is not Gilmour. I am talking about the solo of the music. This solo was recorded and composed by David Gilmour in 1981 and the guy in this video played the solo exactly the same of the recorded.

  • @ksvideos That is not David Gilmour.

  • 2:16 the best part!!!! (Gilmour forever!)

  • @superpinkfloyd101 what? i respect roger waters more than any pink floyd member he is my favorite singer from pink floyd and the best album of pink floyd to me is the wall but when you have to admit something you have to admit it i have that concert and have the1980 videos too and he does sing with prerecorded vocals and actually is awesome
