gotta pound it around...marinade it. when done greek style (grilled over coals)...it cannot be beat. octopus sushi (tako) is GARBAGE by comparison.

another good way of making octopus is by wraping it in foil; then cook it on the barbeque! makes it more crispy for those of you who don't like it chewy :P also, make sure to add some lemon!

Tarpon Springs is wonderful!! We love all these wonderful delicious restaurants on the famous Sponge Docks on Dodecanese and Athens street!! Zorbas is not quite as it use to be in the 1970's, but it's still a great place to go to to dance the Greek dances!! opha!! Lorrie727

octopus is the best meze for ouzo ;) But you should visit Thessaloniki, not athens.
