My 2 of four tortoises getting along and eating dinner together without any fussiness. As you can see little baby loves Radicchio. I think (too young to tell) Baby is a female because Skipper has taken an extreme likeness to her when normally he goes pushing every other tortoise out of the way to get all the food for himself first. It is highly unusual for big Skipper to actually wait or pause when it comes to food. So this is very good behavior on his part.

This is my first ever video uploaded on Youtube. Taken with a Sony W7 Cybershot at 7.1 megapixels.
Donated all my tortoises April 2007 to D&M reptile rescue & Rehab after the passing of Skipper.(big one on left) :(

I had the tortoises total for over 10 years. They were like family to me. Tortoises are a different type of animal alltogether and definitely not stupid. I can tell you actual amazing stories about them. These tortoise videos are a bit too personal for me so i disabled commenting.

  • I need to add which probably doesnt fit in the comment section above. When I had to put skipper down i found out that HE was actually a SHE. I presume for that reason he/she was protective over Baby(the one on the right) because Baby could have been a boy and skipper had a liking for Baby or something. I have no idea what they were. I was told by my ex that skipper and gilligan(not in the video) were california desert tortoises and maybe Baby is too . Baby was a rescue.

  • Donated all my tortoises April 2007 to D&M reptile rescue & Rehab after the passing of Skipper of metabolic syndrome.(big one on left). Vet said that even though I fed them properly(and proper lighting too) he probably had this condition from birth. :(

Sigh. Didnt want to risk this with the others.
