Another contender for favourite, where do I stop? Again following the same format as recently a collection of video clips depicting what I consider to be the theme..rightly or wrongly..but 'whit the heck'! Especially for my YT friend Cass made in the spirit of friendship and all that is good about sharing nice music and emotions...thank you Cass.Feel free as ever to comment ...

#79 - Top Rated (Today) - Music - United Kingdom

You've come up in the world
And it's all to your credit
You made somethin' of your life like you always said you would
But what ever happened to
The girl I used to know
And all those halcyon days of love?

You've come up in the world
And it's such a shame
You made success of a dream but it seems so empty now
With your weak excuses and
Your condescending ways
And all too frequent nights - alone.

STRINGS

I've come down in the world
And it's all to your credit
You made somethin' of my life but you've thrown it all away
For your books and your fancy talk
Your new found friends and all
Your theories on mankind - and society.

  • OMG, this man is a genius.

Your work on the videos give it so much atomsphere, they must have taken you so so long, but i'm slowly begining to work out your appreciation towards this artist. This music is produced long before I was even born, and as a rule, my generation would reject it...but our generation are fools, avoid of emotion. Thank you for the lesson

  • another of his very best vocal performances, and some great lyrics - did anyone else ever use the word 'halcyon'?

fond memories of working on my A levels with Steve Merike's Round Midnight show on Radio Trent - he was a great supporter of Clifford and introduced me to his music.
