This was a requested lesson and I hope it helps anyone who wants to play this song! This video is of the chords and the progression that make up the song. I used a tab from Ultimate-guitar.com. The link is here (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/s/steven_curtis_chapman/cinderella_crd.htm) so you can play it using the same chords that I describe. If you play this with the song, you will see that it fits almost exactly! Hope you like it!

  • How can you sing a song that you have never heard? And how can you teach someone how to play a song you have never heard? I am only pointing out facts.

  • @tcook242008 And once again, I am pointing out that if you know it so well, you should put up a video showing how to play it correctly. Would love for you to show me how to play it right, since thats how you want to hear it.

  • Steven plays this song in D A D G A D. The chords that you got off the internet is not even close to what the original song sounds like.

  • @tcook242008 well if you can do better with out ever having heard the song before, please be my guest to give it your best shot and post it. dont just be a critic, put your hands to good use and show us how its done.

  • @Dennismason84 I assume that you are suggesting that it is me who has never heard this song before. That's a bold accusation, telling someone that you do not know that they have never heard a certain song before. As a praise and worship leader at Restoration Ministries Church of God, it is my job to stay up to date on all of the latest Christian music. I have been listening to Steven Curtis Chapman for 15+ years. And I am not being a critic, I just like to heard things played right is all.

  • @tcook242008 no what I was saying is that I had never heard the song before. A friend on here asked me to help him learn it, so I did my best. It just felt like a crticism that was not neccessary. And I'm tired of people doing that. If you don't like it, just move on ya know? Is it really neccessary to cut a person down? I don't think that you were trying to do that, but I'm tired of it.

  • I personally didnt like it but that does not mean he is bad it's just an opinion.

  • @tcook242008 Steven actually plays this song EADGAE. I asked him at a show recently. He may tune it down first and then capo it at the second fret. Not sure about the tune down part, but he does capo at the 2nd fret. Just wanting to help!

  • @AJJulianTyler what did I do to tear him down? And why is it that I am restricted from giving negative critizism? How does that put me in the same catagory as a nonbeliever? Does my rights of free speach end when I become a christian? You people need to grow up, if you can't take critizism, then don't do something that wll lead to it. Voicing an opinion is not a sin. I bet non of you have ever gave a negative opinon before huh? All of you are saints and never say anything negative huh?

  • @tcook242008 ppl who proclaim christianity & then dont stand out from the world are the ones who get us christians called hypocrytes, i was amazed tht your a worship leader the way U tore him down, i would have expected U to say how great the vid was or his guitar or voice, but you reacted just like anyone else would, go on other video's and see for yourself how alike your comment was to non-believers' comments. U tore him down like any other youtube visitor. i pray 4 your judgement from now on.

  • @tcook242008 i am 14 years old and i know a worship leader shouldnt have reacted to this video as you did, as a worship leader you should be bringing ppl up, not tearing them down, the vieo was amazing and you need to realize that there are many ways to play a song, different keys, chords, tuning, but as long as the song comes out right like it did here (and i was really impressed) then it still is the song, just please dont call yourself a worship leader for christ and then tear people down

  • u talk a lot men go home!!!

  • @tcook242008 Maybe I am being a bit harsh as well and for that I appologize. I can understand how an artist is protective of their work. Like all art, it is to be interpreted by the one viewing the art. Sometimes chords have to be changed for the key of the voice. He never claimed to be a professional musician. The guy was just doing his best to help a friend out. I felt like you treated him a little to harsh. I also felt that given with what he had to work with, that he did a good job.

  • @hardcorps72 Why is everyone saying I am beeing critical. I have many songs I have written, and I would not want anyone to change them, so I am pretty sure other song writters feel the same way. What kind of bad, graceless, un-christian-like example am I leading if I disagree with a persons methods?
