  • This was twice the size of 747 in payload !

  • The so- called "Spruce Goose" is a misnomer--it was birchwood, not spruce. It was great to see it along with the Queen Mary. This massive Hercules flying boat was moved to McMinnville, Oregon years ago to a great museum.
