Jeff Pollastro demonstrates faux marble on highly reflective Mylar. Jeff combines his love of street art and the study of earth and its beauty with the correlation of painted marble on mirrored surfaces. Please check out more videos by Inchworm Design, Inc., and stop by our website:

  • lovely but is there not a problem of the medium not adhereing to the mylar reducing the projects longevity?

  • @mobilefreek Hi! Thank you for the compliment. In the beginning I say that the nature of the acrylic would not make for the best adhesion to the sheen of the mylar. After it has cured, I have noticed the adhesion is adequate. For long-term results, I would change the first coat to a glass paint enamel, then proceed with alternate mediums on top for layering. If you do the first coat in an enamel or even perhaps a wood/metal primer, you will not have any problems with adhesion! Thanks

  • @edilon and theresa,

Thank you both very much! Your positivity puts a great big smile on my face! Thank you!
