The root cause of why we're skeptical about fake stuff is that it doesn't have billions of years of evolution weeding out negative effects, obvious or not, going for it. The spirit of the culture isn't so much about being 'natural' - it's more about seeing the bigger picture of things.
And I absolutely adore the pronunciation "K-Rab".
