I Found Out Recently that Rob Robin moved to Gator 99.5, and He's doing the Weather during the Morning Show.

@AaronBruceLadner and also, the sportscaster is Butch Alsandor who is now a Sports Anchor for KHOU-TV in Houston and also, Ted Wrenn is now living in Dallas, TX
-
This Video features Rob Robin and Ted Wrenn.

Wasn't he very ill at one time and almost died? Maybe that's a rumor, but I had heard something to that effect some years ago. Even when he did a brief interview on the radio right after Hurricane Rita someone called in and had mentioned a serious illness he had had, but nothing specific was ever said about it.

Thankfully, Rob Robin is still doing the Weather on KYKZ 96.
-
I believe he is, according to the KYKZ website.
-
Is he still on KYKZ doing weather?

I grew up in Lake Charles in the 60s and 70s and, therefore, grew up listening to Rob -- first on KLOU and then as weatherman at KPLC. I remember staying up all night long watching him broadcast during hurricane evacuations. Living in Cameron Parish later in life, we depended and trusted wholeheartedly Rob's forecasts and respected him greatly. I miss him!!!
I remember watching Rob when I was a young kid! He was one of my inspirations for me to make meteorology my profession.

I remember Rob Robin, he use to be on KPLC when I was a boy, but then he moved to FOX 29 to do the News @ 6 & 10 and later, the News @ Nine for 1 hr. long before they brought it back, I guess they wanted to compete w/KPLC and also, Rob Robin has been doing weather for so many years on KYKZ and still does to this day and I remember Ted Wren from Live @ Five and Live @ Ten and Jan Hardy did Live @ Noon & Five, James and Cynthia still did Live @ 6 Ted & Cynthia on Live @ Ten.
Good Times.
