Each year, AFI AWARDS honors excellence in the moving image arts within the context of a Year in Review. This is the next chapter in AFI's national mandate — specifically, the creation of an annual almanac that records and preserves the evolution of the moving image arts in the 21st century.

That was a great list. And thank you for no slumdog it really wasn't that good. Seriously that movie is way overrated. It was decent though.

Im surprised you missed Dexter and True Blood. Well... maybe True Blood is on par with a few of the shows you showed, but Dexter is far above the rest.

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE was not an American movie. It did, however, receive special acknowledgment from AFI in the 2008 AFI Moments Of Significance.

Slumdog Millionaire was not on our list of 10 films because it was technically not an American Film. It was, however, honored on its own as one of the 10 Moments Of Significance for 2008. In fact, it is listed first of the ten on AFI. com
