how on earth is the handheld spondge thingy easyer to use to clean algea ,no way the magnetic one is , coz u dont get water every were and u dont stand the risk of getting moisturisers and soaps and all that shit iin the water
@blockheadman1 dude, the real thing you gotta worry about is the biologic colony in your filter, clean the sponges with tap water, i think you would have a problem.

Never, never ever use tap water for a saltwater/reef tank use RO/DI filter water and never use canister filters- thats for fresh water tanks.

For those who have never cleaned a sponge, you squeeze them out before you set them back in, no chlorine gets into the tank or filter.

@blockheadman1 But 80-90% of these BACTERIA is living in the ceramic rings present in that filter rather than the sponge.
