  • @MercuryClock it's harder to eat cleaner foods because they ususally contain fiber and other stuff that holds your stomach back. But if you can find a way to do it with clean foods then it makes no difference.

  • @MercuryClock I eat a whole lot of clean food per day. A whooole lot! But I still can't get enough nutrients in my body so I supplement with proteinshakes.

    If you eat more simple carbs than complex carbs than you can eat more. Because lots of complex carbs and fibers you will be full for a longer period of time. You just can't eat as much.

  • @MercuryClock When your calories are coming from fast food and saturated fats, not only is it harder for your body to get get of those fats then healthy fats but it also blocks up your arteries a little bit causing protein to travel slower to the muscles meaning it takes much longer for you muscle to recover.

  • Everyone: YES, I realize pizza and shit like that has a lot of calories and isn't very filling, which makes bulking easier. But that that isn't the only way in the world to bulk up. If your health comes first, you're better off eating a variety of whole foods like nuts, lean meat and veggies

    Hell, learn to cook pizza or burgers yourself with quality ingredients. At least that way you know you aren't eating materials are probably more suited to be in a university chemistry lab than in your body.

  • @MercuryClock They can. I have been eating a lot of organic peanut butter and drinking a bit of olive oil (dead serious). Best ways to get your calories up from healthy fats. It's not worth getting your calories up from something like fried chicken which is absolutely terrible for your heart.
