reviewing a newer piece of HTC hardware for the android platform.
Fun Fact #273: difficult to use interfaces get more difficult to use the more frustrated you get with them. One example of a sentence I typed with this phone to post on twitter: "Wshokedvedrd dxeedszigtnedd tfhed kedyboardxe on thed edvo szhiftg n deeddsz tfo deied ikn az frcirded." (Whoever designed the keyboard on the EVO Shift needs to die in a fire.)

  • U hav a g1 and it sucks I always us the search key for voice search but you old g1 shi-t-aki probably cant even rub voice search smartasset and o by the way I have the evo shift and it isnt a piece of s**t but u are and im not a moron and u r dat 2 son ova biscut

  • @JakeubIsABeast Wow, did you type all that on your shift? I'm impressed by your butchering of the English language. Maybe you should use a device with a real keyboard in the future. Since you clearly don't know how the voice search (or voice recognition) feature works, I'm just going to leave it at that.

  • What phone did you go with after you returned the EVO shift?

  • @tec2224 I ended up with the Evo 3D. I am of course disappointed I was unable to find a phone with a decent HW keyboard, but using Hacker's Keyboard on the EVO 3D is adequate for the most part. Other than the lack of KB, it is a fine piece of hardware, and incredibly fast.

  • Dont listen to the haters. Your opinion was fine the way you said it. This video was helpful and really well thought out. I disagree with a few of the things but thats just difference of opinion. I know this is over a month late but dont get the eipc. I had it and it was everything I didnt want. Other then the amazing camera and amazing screen, it was a bad design by Samsung once again,

  • @MyCommentsMatter1 Yeah I tried the epic, and it seemed similar to the shift, but with more samsung gui crap I didn't like. Granted, I wasn't thrilled with the HTC sense contact list or calendar software on the 3D that I ended up getting, but it could have been worse.

  • Will you be doing another video for you EVO 3d?

  • @blaidrider2 also it's spelled "paid." I don't know who you think you are to be lecturing me on my level of intelligence, but I can tell you, you're not that.

  • @blaidrider2 lol nope. What do you use it for? searching? because any app that supports it already has a damned search button in the GUI, so it's completely redundant. The ONLY legit use is to stand in for tab autocomplete in some apps, but incidentally, while the hardware keyboard search button on the G1's keyboard worked for that, the button on the new phone does not. The same apps that supported the search button on the G1 will not support it on the newer phone.

  • You are retarded!! you must have payed some one to root your G1 because there is no way that you could be able to root a phone and still not be able to figure out the simple problems that you had with the phone. I'm just really in awe of the stupid shit that came out of your mouth. "No one will use the search key, well unless they are a moron," That is one of the most used buttons on most peoples phone.
