The Artificially Intelligent Antichrist

Does the bible say that the antichrist will not be human, but a machine! Will artificial intelligence one day emerge on the earth to subjugate humanity under the "Beast"? There is more than enough evidence in the bible along with current technological trends to say this is indeed humanity's fate!

@epiksonik You may be right. Just understand that if what you and I say are both true, the choice between following the Beast (i.e. A.I.) or not following it will seal a person's fate for eternity.

Nice presentation, only one minor hindrance that I hate to bring up. The original number of the best isn't actually 666... It never was. In every modern version of the bible it is 666, sure. But mostly because it sounded better.

It's the Hebrew version and has many calculated explanations, Emperor Nero being a primse candidate.

But the ancient Greek manuscripts referred to the number of the beast as 616, often referred to as a variant, but still the ancient, possibly original version.

@vivianboys3 The 616 vs 666 debate is not nearly as resolved as you paint it. In fact, it goes back at least 1800 years to the time of Irenaeus who dismissed the 616 variation as scribal error 100 years before it even appeared in our earliest manuscripts. Also, it should be taken in consideration that 666 shows up multiple times in the Old Testament with a clear connection to Revelation in one of those instances.

@345thisisfrustrating I think there are many possibilities. "He" could be a cloned human, cyborg (any combination of organic and inorganic tissue), or a humanoid/android (fully inorganic). I, however, lean towards the cyborg or android direction given that "he" is described as being an image (an inanimate likeness of a person) that is brought to life by the Beast. This, at least to me, implies artificial intelligence.

@Aaron03ky Not quite, but soon. Jesus says there will be wars, rumors of wars, famine, quakes etc...but the end is not yet -these are the beginning of sorrows...THEN...(Matt 24:9). I believe THEN is the beginning of the 7 year tribulation...Holy Ghost filled vessels saving folks by proving the awesome power of God, and being killed by this beast system...the 'great tribulation' will begin @ the mid-point when Satan is incarnate in a man. Now is the time to prepare and quit playing games!
