hello! i like your version, faster than the original one but with easier chords. i'll try to learn it, then record and put on youtube for you to see - though my voice sucks - and i'll tell everyone you inspired me haha also i loooooooooved the kitten in the end. you're lovely.

Work on the strumming pattern (it's almost a staccato) during that G-shaped A chord you play during the verse and chorus.
