Thats the perfect location for digging a little channel and mayby putting a bit of decking over it, or a little bridge. it would save unblocking the drain all the time, and look mint. Did the drain solve the problem?

Most likely how this should have been done.

What would you suggest for my drainage problem? Watch My Money Pit, parts 1-3.

Hello Sabbudge, I have a water drainage problem in my backyard, in several places. I would like to know what you would recommend and where to get it. Thank you.

I know a product that performs better than channel and grate and you dont even see it from surface

It's ACO's homedrain and it was installed wrong. Should have been encased in concrete. It will pop out of the ground plus the soil is lower than the drain itself.

Sean, you're absolutely right. After this video was taken, we got a huge rainstorm and the drain popped right out of the ground. Large stakes were installed through the bottom of the drain, then sealed, to anchor the drain (they still stopped short of using concrete, which we had suggested as in our neighbor's drain). The grading and slope was also changed. We've had five downpours and so far, so good. Thanks for your comments!

GREAT idea. I'll try taping a video the next time we get a big rain.
