  • where did you find these pics?

  • @luisa100267 google, and ICR (whale hunters) at icr(.)org then click on english....

  • Great video documenting some of the SS's illegal and dangerous actions. The photos of the Steve Irwin deliberately ramming and damaging a Japanese whaler is especially illuminating. Fortunately, no one was killed in the incident.

  • you should know, I'm a HUGE supporter of Sea Shepherd!!! :-)

  • @Platyzoan

You know whats dangerous? Shooting harpoons at whales, killing thousands of sentient beings is more violent than throwing a non toxic chemical to save the whales.

  • @TheEnviroFriend I agree 1000%

  • The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society operates on the willing donations of the millions and millions of people who want to see the killing of Whales ended. It is THEIR wish Paul and the crew are fulfilling! Those people are probably wishing they didn’t waste so much money donating to Greenpeace who does little more than talk

  • @TheEnviroFriend You're right. I have much better things to do than make comments on YT videos. It's just something I do to relax once in a while, but this is a bit tedious. I am going to go get some sushi. Good bye.

  • @Platyzoan

they have been brainwashed, sea shepherd hasn't tried to kill any of them, they are against killing.

so we cant help whales according to you, because there are other animals suffering, why don't you go spend your time ending that suffering instead of commenting on youtube videos, isn't that more important than commenting on youtube videos?

people dont have to focus on just 1 cause.

should i not give money to a homeless family because there are some people who are poorer?

  • @TheEnviroFriend The resource allocation isn't proportional to the death and suffering of the animals.

And using resources to engage in the kinds of illegal and dangerous activities depicted in this video will only do their cause harm. They may get more funds from nutty supporters, but they will only push the Japanese further from change. Also, more moderate environmentalists might actually feel sympathy for the guys who are on those boats doing what they've been taught is an honest living.

  • @Platyzoan

someone has to stand up for the farm animals, but someone also has to stand up for the whales, there are many causes to fight for, this is the one they chose.

yes it is very true that america along with other western countries causes much animal suffering, but in the UK and US there is a group called the ALF

  • @TheEnviroFriend If by "sentient" you mean that whales can feel pleasure and pain, then I don't understand why you people don't dedicate the same amount of energy to stopping industrial farming in the West. Hog farming alone in just one day causes far more suffering to "sentient" animals than a year of Japan's whale hunt. Those animals suffer their entire lives until they are slaughtered while whales live out healthy (happy?) lives until they are harpooned.
