Windows isn't all that bad, as long as you are careful and don't infect your computer with shitstorms of viruses. It's actually one of the best operating systems. There's a thing called AVG Free... duh. And trust me, there are lots of worse operating systems, such as Mac OS X.

You did not have to rip out your computer hard drive to install Linux. I have installed Linux Mint along side Windows 7 on one of my laptops. I did this by installing virtual clone drive from the Internet. And than mounting the Linux Mint ISO file on to it on my Netbook. And you can also uninstall it in Windows programs,if you decide you no longer want it. Andrea.

@delvis11 ok i just found out i had to go to boot menu for my computer sorry i messed up
lol changing the harddrive to install Linux ?? just format the drive where windows is if you decide to wipe windows

@Yogi2k10 If you have a heavenly used windows drive and your life is on it it is hard to tell someone to just wipe it and start fresh with linux. dual booting can leave you less hard drive space that can't be completely recovered if a person decides they don't want it. A second drive is a great choice to make the transition.

walkthroughguy88 1 year ago
@walkthroughguy88 yes or you can erase the old one. But if you have data on your old hard drive you may want to keep it the way it is and install linux on a new drive.
