So I have to turn on file sharing just to view the files on my mac with boxee running on the same mac? This product might be ok but the instruction and lack thereof is terrible!

*high five* ibog! I'm not a network person AT all and this video was perfect. Thanks much, I can now connect to my Mac from Boxee. You're the bomb, dude.

Bill, instead of sharing an empty "shared" --> "Media" folder like he does in the tutorial, you just share your existing iPhoto library in Users --> BillFarm --> Pictures.
Same with your movies and music folder. That part he left out. It's not totally obvious to everyone.
oh, and will this work with aliased folders being placed into the newly shared Media folder?

Is it possible to get the same results in 10.4?

Sorry, I'm not running 10.4 so I can't create a video on that platform. I wish I could install Mac OS X in Vmware
