Produced by Et Cetera Productions in conjunction with Sinemasisi Productions.
Set in Nairobi, Kenya, this is the story of MUNA, the only child of a slum dwelling single mother, IMAN; Muna graduates top of her engineering class. She is the only female in the class. Together with her more financially able fiancé LEON they are set to conquer the world.
On her way from the graduation party, she runs into BOBO a minor hoodlum who attempts to rape her. She is saved by OKAPI her former lover and a person she would have liked to leave in her past.
Things get worse when a job interview that is supposed to be mere formality exposes her to sexual advances from another woman, LAURA; and then young, attractive, nubile FIONA decides she wants Leon for herself.
Another run in with Bobo - and another rescue by Okapi has her gravitating closer and closer to Okapi . . . like a moth to a flame.
Her world disintegrates further when her mother falls sick and needs medical attention Muna cannot afford. And then, she finds herself blacklisted in the very industry where her employment opportunities lie. With nowhere to turn, Muna goes to her boyfriend Leon for help and gets more than she ever bargained for.
As her world continues to spiral out of control; she teams up with Okapi in an alliance that is doomed from the very start. They embark on what they hope is a temporary crime spree. But all the best laid plans of mice and men . . . .
With the police closing in on them and with both of them facing lengthy prison terms, Okapi makes a decision that he hopes will save at least Muna.
OBOHOZ will show us the side of Nairobi we all know exits but wish it didnt. The side of Nairobi that always catches up with us.
