To Mothlight: This video is fantastic and I really think you've got a great shot at winning.

To iamacrobat: The whole greek mythology spin that Mothlight put on this was a nice touch and very creative. However if you take the time to examine the lyrics I seriously doubt that M83 ever intended to tell a story about anything that was in Mothlight's video. Don't claim that, "None of the other entries have any relation to the meaning of the song" when the video you liked didn't either.

as a respectful side note, we felt that some of the themes expressed in "we own the sky" (esp. those about revenge and tyranny) would be aptly brought to life by 21st century greek gods fighting against a tyrant father.

now whether or not we succeeded in capturing the songs essence is a matter of opinion (:

I like the song, and I love the video right up until that horrid dancing, it kind of falls apart after that. Still, good song, great concept for the video, all in all pretty good.

this video seems to flow so well and is so magical at times but unfortunately some things really seemed off to me.

had a great experience watching it, in many regards I prefered this one to the official. but they're different but both very alive.

LOL I started to read the comments, trying to think of the right way to comment this vid. I got to yours and I couldn't have said it better, Haha. Although the visuals and effects were beautifully done, the story, actors, ... dancing ... could have been improved.

The song is hopeful, light and kinda romantic. This is a great video but doesn't fit the song. To the guy who complained about floating boxes, you want to put the realism of THIS video against that? This is even more out there than the winner. Besides, look at the band, their themes, Teen Angst is one of my favorites on another album...the teens in the winner...it's really their niche....who they're writing and singing to, look at graveyard girl...case in point.
