If these people were serious they would ban drilling and production of fossil fuels, or at least reduce drilling and production. But no one is saying anything like that. If we pull it from the earth we will burn it, whether its tomorrow or next year will make no difference.

Its a well established fact that colder northern latitudes generally produce greater precipitation over central Africa, earlier and longer monsoons etc. Kenya has become more arid over the last 5000 years, glacial to interglacial, this is not new nor is it news. Shall we blame uplifting of New Guinea highlands for desertification of Australia? There are simply far many more natural and astrological events that dwarf anything we could possibly ever cause.
