Please allow me to introduce myself and explain the purpose of this letter. I'm the Ecuadorean singer and composer Egberto García Gomez, someone deeply involved in our planet preservation efforts. I have composed and recorded a song called TO SAVE THE YASUNI ITT, which is about saving one of the most sensitive rainforest on Earth, located in my beloved Ecuador.


This song was produced by the great Peter Roberts, a man with a great heart who has agreed to my request of making this a non-profit project.




We kindly ask you Dr Ki-Moon to please take part of your busy schedule to listen to our song which we believe can become the song that will awake and bring the best out of the participants of the September 23 UN Meeting, in terms of preservation of Mother Nature.




This by no means would represent an agenda item of the Ecuadorean Government headed by Rafael Correa, which leads a great initiative in this field by making all kind of efforts to avoid un-earthing the vast oil reserves in the YASUNI ITT rainforest.


This song was produced with the idea of encouraging the world to take action toward saving the rainforests of the world, and we believe there is no better place and circumstance than the United Nations General September meeting to launch it.

We are aware of you levels of commitment and efforts in nature preservation, and we believe this song will enhance your agenda for the meeting.




Our contribution to the cause will be to donate the song's intellectual rights and every economic income that results from it to the UN, which in turn will contribute the money to the YASUNI ITT initiative, lead by the Ecuadorean Government.

@Artemiss3d Es para que el mundo se entere de nuestra riqueza en el Ecuador, pero que nosotros como ecuatorianos tenemos que preservarla y cuidarla, la vida de nuestras generaciones que nos siguen esta en peligro cada vez nos quedamos sin areas verdes y nosotros somos quienes estamos destruyendo nuestra naturaleza por eso ella a veces se enzaña con nosotros!! terremotos, dilubios, maremotos, lluvias fuertes, y demas cosas que la naturaleza hace en contra de nosotros por no cuidarla!!

yo digo ke si el territorio pertenece al Ecuador(bueno territorialmente, de ahi somos parte dentro de el) porke carajo existe esta pugna no lo exploten y ya el poder de desision lo tiene la presidencia o ke alguien me explike porke la desision de explotarlo si ellos pueden decidir ke no ..!!!!
